Lord, I come to You,
Let my heart be changed, renewed,
Flowing from the grace,
That I found in You
Lord, I've come to know,
The weaknesses I see in me,
Will be stripped away,
By the power of Your love
Hold me close,
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near,
Draw me to Your side
And as I wait,
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You,
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your Love
Lord unveil my eyes,
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love,
As You live in me
Lord renew my mind,
As Your will unfolds in my life
In living every day,
In the power of Your Love

We sang this song yesterday at our Sunday night meeting, and it was really cool as so much of it applies to me! It seems that the longer I do ministry the more I realize how weak I am, and how much I need Jesus, and the power of His love.
I have been in a few situations lately where my love for others just doesn't cut it, and I've been praying a lot that I can authentically love the people that He decides to put in my life with His love!
It seems that God mostly wants to change me through each new challenging experience, and that my heart is what needs the renovating. The good thing is that apparently my under repair heart is a big enough deal with Him that He puts me in situations where I need to work on it, instead of just letting me continue in my sinful nature self.
The other neat thing is that instead of leaving me all alone, He stays right here with me through each step of this journey and promises to keep working until He's finished!
I'm glad that God is God and that I'm not, and I'm glad that He decides to work in me even though it hurts sometimes.
